Freebie 5
I just got back from my lunch break and I decided to browse around myspace. Woo hoo! I got a comment from Wes, my boss’ brother… who also happens to be a realtor (to all my friends who are interested in buying or selling their house… Wes is your man). I clicked on Wes’ page and browsed around some more… hmm, is that Dane Cook I see on his friends’ list? I noticed that he kinda looks like my boss (Jordan) so I sent a quick message to Alex, Jordan’s beautiful wife. I told her that Jordan kinda looks like Dane Cook on a side angle. She said, “Yummy! That’s good news.” and then mentioned that Dane Cook was on her Freebie 5. Freebie 5? Me mountain person don’t know meaning of Freebie 5.
Ah yes, everything goes back to the days when F.R.I.E.N.D.S were friends. Episode 3.05 “The One With Frank Jr.” The F.R.I.E.N.D.S gang all consider what five celebrities would be on their “freebie list”–people they can sleep with without anyone getting upset. Ross finally narrows his list down by eliminating Isabella Rossellini… then he bumps into her. So, that’s the Freebie 5.
Now, what is the whole point of this blog? Well, I would like to know who’s in your Freebie 5 list. Here’s mine:
* Giovanni Ribisi – methinks he’s a brilliant actor

* Kimi Raikkonen – he drives fast cars… enough said

* Gary Dourdan – CSI Brown… investigate me

* John Cho – Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle

* pending… changed my mind about Laetitia Casta
Now, it’s your turn…
Where in the world is Sigrid Cojuangco
It’s been exactly one week since my last blog. Where have I been hiding? Well, I have a day job… a Monday to Friday, 9 to 5 type of job. Work has been quite crazy the past couple of weeks and stress (with a capital “S”) was slowly creeping in.
I decided to call upon my trusty club-going friends because I needed some downtown fix. I have to mention that the last time I went clubbing was 5 months ago (yeah, pretty sad considering I’m only 22). So, I starting prepping myself. Curled hair… check… make-up… check… slightly skanky get-up… check check. And we were off.
First stop was Au Bar (Au who? never heard of this bar before). The line up was bad… so long that we were half a block away from the entrance. We had to scrap the Au Bar plan on account of lack of patience. We got back in the car and we were off… again.
Next stop, Tonic. Small club, cozy ambience… very familiar… yep, I’ve been here before. So, we parked our little toushies at Tonic. We danced the night way, got picked up by some guys (I told them I’m married… even if I’m not). That would be the end of the whole clubbing story.
Saturday… I was so L-A-Z-Y. I was then reminded why I don’t go clubbing. It is because I waste the next day sitting around and dozing off. I was supposed to help my boyfriend’s sister move but all I did was sleep. That would be the end of my Saturday.
Sunday… I woke up really late. I took Jay-R’s 3-year old neice, Caitlyn, to the laundromat with me (Jay-R is the boyfriend). After laundry, we went to Metrotown for a stroll. A few hours later, I drove her home and that was that.
Today is Monday. I am typing away on my blog while sitting here in my cubicle.
THE END.
Moral of this story: Got to find myself a more productive activity.
Honey, I’m home…
After being feasted upon by insects, I’ve concluded that setting up camp by the lake is not the smartest idea. I got so many bug bites and I can’t help but itch (I stopped counting at 10). But all whining aside, I actually had fun.
Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know that I’m glad to be back home… and in one piece.
Here are some pics…
bonding with mother nature
It’s 5:11am… I’m starting a trend… blogging at ungodly hours. I figured I owe myself a blog since I will be out of town for the weekend. Don’t worry friends, I’ll only be two hours away… in HOPE, BC (HOPE-ing that there’s a shower stall at the camp site we’re staying at). Please cross your fingers and hope that I come back in one piece.
Internship update!!!
Well… I don’t think I’ve accomplished much. Believe me, I try… time just keeps getting in the way. The fact that I’ll be away for the next 2 days (not to mention incommunicado) is just the icing to my not-so scrumtious cake. I promised Jordan that I’ll have the Washington database done on Sunday and a promise made should be a promise kept. In the meantime, I’m off to pay mother nature a visit… maybe hug some trees but never feed the animals!
iPod has a new victim
Yes, I am officially a lemming!
LEMMING
n.
-Any of various small, thickset rodents, especially of the genus Lemmus, inhabiting northern regions and known for periodic mass migrations that sometimes end in drowning.
-Often used in slang to denote those who mindlessly follow the crowd, even if destruction is the result.
Okay, maybe not that bad.
To celebrate my new job at www.telltenfriends.com and my recent promotion at my day job, I decided to buy myself an iPod Nano. It took me about 2 weeks to decide if I needed one and of course I don’t… I just really, really, really, REALLY wanted one. Then, another 2 days to decide if I should get a 2GB or 4GB. oh, the headache!
Today at 8:05pm, I got in my car and drove to Best Buy… finally. I figured purchasing would be a breeze… but NO… I had to choose the color, the silicone case, and the portable speakers. I must’ve driven the salesperson mad because I never ran out of questions. It took me over an hour to make my final decision (note that Best Buy closes at 9).
At the end of the day, I became a proud owner of a black, 2GB iPod Nano. Woohoo! Am I happy? Oh, yeah. Is this state of euphoria going to last? Probably not… but oh, well.
Shoutoutz to all my iPod peeps! Glad to be part of the group… just don’t expect me to jump off a cliff with you.
First steps…
Hello friends… welcome to my world! This is your friendly neighborhood marketing intern…
It is 5:00am and I’m still awake… wide awake. I’ve been up since 2:00am today thinking about my first project as a marketing intern. Project 1 is… *drumroll*… marketing research and creating databases!
Before I start chattering away, I’d like to start at the very beginning…

Today I got hired (Yipee!). I had a meeting with my new boss, Jordan at www.telltenfriends.com. Although Jordan is a friend of mine, I was a bit nervous. I could feel my sweat escape my glands. It wasn’t a very pretty sight. I guess somehow I felt like I was going through an interview… and we all know how that’s like. Good thing Jordan was cool enough to offer me some wine. So… he explained to me how the biz works (it’s a secret… no, not really) and asked me what my future plans are. Of course, as any smart homosapien … I plan to grow within the company. About half an hour later, his wife, Alex, arrived. He gave her the low down then we got into some cackling or chatting (the boss seems to like the word cackle). That pretty much ended the interview session. Phew!
Now, back to Project 1. So far, all I’ve done is organize the existing data base (considering it’s early morn and my head is still in lala-land). Tomorrow or later, rather, I will jump on this monster and conquer.
PS. You like my 5:00am picture? I refuse to take a front angle at this time of day… I tell you… s-c-a-r-y.
